Last month, my wife Anoushka and I (Arjen, PBF owner) decided it was time for our kids to have their own rooms. We hoped this might put an end to exhausting bedtime routines but, alas, the improvement to sleep has been minimal so far!
Anyhow, as part of the process we also repainted the kids’ rooms. Firstly, Anoushka hunted for ideas on pinterest.com. Little Jonathan helped pick the colours Snowdonia (grey) and Laughter (yellow). We painted the feature wall in 250mm alternating stripes of these two colours. Most of the other walls are Black White, with the exception of a column in Snowdonia.
Anoushka also turned to etsy.com for ideas. She picked various images (had to be trucks and diggers) and added a personalised message. We had these printed locally and bordered them with white frames from Briscoes.
Although the kids’ sleep hasn’t improved, at least they’re thrilled with their attractive new rooms!
